In her desire to build community, Lucie created a non-profit organization, the Flute Club of Calgary in the spring of 2016.  Along with a dedicated board, the Flute Club of Calgary is designed to be a hub for all things flute in Calgary and Alberta, offering concerts, community events, and more, for all flutists.

As a passionate chamber musician, Lucie volunteered on the Calgary Pro Musica Society Board of Directors for 11 years, 2 years as a Director, 3 years as Vice President, 6 years as President and recently given the honourable title of President Emeritus.

Along with being a regular performer for the Instrumental Society of Calgary, Lucie also served on the Board of Directors as President for two years, 2010 – 2012.

With her musical experience as a performer, teacher, and director, and her work as a software developer, Lucie brings a unique skill set to the table and has been invited to give presentations for a variety of societies including the Calgary Association of Lifelong Learners and the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
